Four Star Limousine Service Wine Tour Rack Card

We recently reordered this wine tour rack card for Four Star Limousine
Service. I did the original design a couple of years ago, and thought
it needed to be showcased again!

Seattle Area Direct Mail Piece

This piece was created for Champion Events to promote an off-site
vehicle sale. The client was interested in using a winter theme, combined with a football theme. Design for car sales is notoriously crowded with text and utilizes an "in-your-face" style. (can't you hear the tv commercials yelling at you?)
Our approach with this style is to retain the high impact techniques, while retaining a refined graphic style.

Designs for Lakeview Church of Christ, Tacoma

Thanks to Marcellus for the recommendation, I was able to do work for
another client in the Seattle/Tacoma area. It's amazing what word-of-
mouth will do! Marcellus is a connection through the commercial
printing industry in the Seattle/Tacoma area who has been great to
work with on several projects. Before you local (Tri-Cities) printers
get upset, realize that the original client I met Marcellus' company
through is from that area, too. It's exciting when projects take shape
with people across the state, or sometimes, across the country. It
legitimizes ones talent on a regional and national level, speaks
volumes about the technology available to collaborate without
geographical proximity and creates great pieces for my portfolio! It's
so rewarding to complete a project like this one. Here's the crazy
part... they approved the first proof AS IS, no changes.... I was
given the concept of "The Time is Now" and pointed to some sundial
imagery for inspiration. I gathered some great supporting photography,
used an excellent font from a premier type foundry, gleaned the
addresses, phone numbers & hi-res logo from the church's website and
whipped up their proof. When a client explains the concept well and
has examples of imagery they like, it's easier for me to narrow in on
the final design quickly... or in this case, on the first try!

DOWNTOWN FOR THRE3 Poster

Historic Downtown Kennewick Partnership wanted to "tip-off" their
inaugural 3-on-3 basketball tournament with a great looking image.
I was able to incorporate a great image and type style which, when
combined, screamed street-ball! Since I grew up spending every spare
minute on outdoor courts or at open gym sessions throughout the Tri-
Cities, I have really enjoyed being a part of this event's inception.
I think my love for the game comes through here. Oh yeah, I came up
with the name, too.

Fever Dance Team Calendar

You'd think after several collaborative projects with Essence
Photography that Eric would figure out which photo shoots I should
"supervise". Just teasing.... These calendars are always fun to put
together and this year's photos were excellent. We went with a larger
format and it really let the pix shine! I can't wait to take Jordan to
a few games!

Romaine CD Artwork Meeting

Eric, left, of Essence Photography & Romaine, Christian Rap Artist,
take a break to listen to some music during a meeting to plan the
shots for Romaine's next release. Eric is a talented photographer,
whose involvement in Romaine's last CD allowed VisuaTek to take that
design to a level of sophistication beyond our first two CD covers
for Romaine. Musically and aesthetically speaking, this CD should
indicate an enormous progression for all parties involved.

Lions Gate Chapel Sign

VisuaTek just finished and delivered brochures and booth signs (above) to Lions Gate Chapel in time for a bridal show held here in the Tri-Cities. We have already heard great feedback from Lions Gate about the wonderful reception their new materials received. Sounds like many leads were generated for the upcoming bridal season! Additionally, other bridal vendors were complimenting Lions Gate's materials and were asking where they got their brochures and signs! Sounds like I need to leave business cards with them for the next bridal show!

Flames of Fire BC

Flames of Fire - Ministry and Teaching for the Body of Christ in All Churches. Flames of Fire was referred to VisuaTek by CT Supply, LLC., one of our clients over in Federal Way, WA. Flames of Fire was interested in logo ideas, which lead to the BC design seen above. (in print production at this time) Hopefully these cards help a little towards spreading the word about the great ministry work they do! This was a fun project and we were happy to help Flames of Fire!

Sandstone Cafe Menu

Sandstone Cafe recently underwent a dramatic exterior remodel that really made a positive impact, both on their curb appeal and on business. VisuaTek used this new exterior look as inspiration when redesigning Sandstone Cafe's Breakfast Menu. They had been using menus they made themselves, which were black photocopies on light-weight green paper, slipped inside a standard clear menu cover. The new menus are on a much heavier paper and were reproduced in digital color. Sandstone was able to use their existing menu covers (fairly new) and it was just a matter of sliding out the old menus and replacing them with the new ones! Upcoming projects include dinner menus and to-go menus. Stay tuned. Oh yeah... You have to try this place out for breakfast if you haven't already! The quality of the ingredients, the speed and quality of the service and most importantly, THE TASTE will have you converted for life! Tell James that Larry from VisuaTek sent you so he knows I am spreading the word about the great food at the Sandstone Cafe in Kennewick!

Big Apple Film Festival Program

First, how it all happened... I was done for the day and was watching my son Jordan practice football here in Richland this fall. I answered a call from an unfamiliar area code. Well, it was Jon from the Big Apple Film Festival in NYC. He had found me online and was interested in talking about my prices for a program, 2 print advertisements & 2 screen slides. We negotiated a fair rate and the rest is history.
Jon was very professional throughout the process and we ended up with a nice group of products when it was all done. I had fun looking at the event photos on the Big Apple Film Festival website, even seeing people holding the program and talking in front of the screen with the slides I designed projected behind them! Was that my 15 minutes of fame? Larry.
